UK Kidney Week 2026 brings the kidney community together in Harrogate
UK Kidney Week 2026 brought more than 1,100 healthcare professionals to Harrogate for three days of conversation, learning and shared experience across the UK kidney community.
This year’s programme covered a wide range of topics, from global kidney health and genomics to workforce, inequality and the future of kidney care. The plenary sessions and named lectures set the tone across the week, with strong engagement from delegates throughout.
Strong feedback for UK Kidney Week 2026 programme
Feedback through the UK Kidney Week app shows a consistently positive response, with more than 700 session ratings submitted:
- 96% of sessions rated good to excellent
- 82% rated very good to excellent
This year also saw the introduction of digital poster boards. This made it easier to explore the wide range of work being shared. Across the week, poster sessions, exhibition spaces and informal conversations all played a part in bringing people together.
Away from the sessions, the atmosphere across the conference, including the social and evening events, has been widely praised. Many delegates highlighted the opportunity to reconnect with colleagues and meet new ones.
Conversations that go beyond the programme
Beyond the formal sessions, the week was shaped by ongoing discussions about the direction of kidney care, including service development, research priorities, workforce challenges and the role of advocacy. Sessions and workshops reflected a growing focus on collaboration across the multi-professional team and across organisations.
A shared effort across the community
UK Kidney Week is shaped by the people who make it happen – both ‘on stage’ and behind the scenes.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this year’s meeting, including speakers, chairs and moderators, abstract and poster presenters, and the many delegates who brought energy and insight to the week.
We are also grateful to our industry partners, exhibitors, media partners, and the teams working behind the scenes – from event delivery and production to registration, safety and logistics – whose work made the conference possible.
Looking ahead for UK Kidney Week
UK Kidney Week will return in 2027 at ICC Wales from 7–9 June 2027.
