UKKW 2026 Grants – Apply Now!

We’re delighted to share that the UK Kidney Association (UKKA) will be offering a limited number of grants for delegates to attend UK Kidney Week 2026.

This funding will cover registration costs only (please note that travel and accommodation will need to be supported by your employer). We’ll be promoting this opportunity on our website and social channels.

Who Can Apply?

  • To be eligible for this grant, applicants must:
  • Work in, or be studying, a kidney specialism
  • Have been a UKKA member for at least 3 months
  • Be in one of the following roles:
    • MPT
    • Renal trainee
    • Scientist
  • Have an abstract accepted for UK Kidney Week 2026

Please note: this grant is not open to retired professionals, patients, or charity representatives.

How to Apply

To apply, please email the UKKA Secretariat at ukka@ukkidney.org with the following documents (in PDF format):

  • A short letter explaining why you should receive the award
  • A mini-CV (no longer than two A4 pages) including:
  • Date you joined the UKKA and current membership status
  • Your current place of work/study

Deadline: 1 December 2025

All applications will be acknowledged by the Secretariat upon receipt.

The Selection Process

  • Applications that meet the eligibility criteria will be reviewed by the UKKA Governance and Nominations Committee.
  • Recommendations will be sent to the Head of Finance, who will confirm decisions and arrange payment of awards.
  • Applications may be declined if a more relevant source of funding is available to the applicant.
  • The UKKA is committed to fairness, transparency, and inclusivity. We welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates and ensure that selections are based solely on merit.
